There are so many pizzerias in Florence, but I’m convinced I found one of the best ones! It has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and is located away from the city center. This pizzeria is on the north side of the city, across the Mugnone river, and near Piazza della Vittoria.
You enter Pizzeria Spera through automatic sliding doors, see a counter to your right, and a kitchen straight ahead. You wonder where all the people are and then someone leads you downstairs to an underground seating area. It is set up in a ‘family-style’, meaning you might be sharing a table with people you don’t know. You hardly notice but you might even make some new friends!
This pizza has the perfect crust, and cooked perfectly so the center is still soft. All of their pizzas are seasoned
with extra virgin olive oil, salt, and basil. They are very flexible in what you order making it fun to personalize your pizza. On request and according to availability the following doughs are offered: kamut, multigrain, wholemeal, ancient Verna wheat, hemp, stone ground, and corn. My favorite is sausage and pesto pizza! 😋 They also have calzoni, mini-pizzas, specials, and some options for appetizers.
This is a super small pizzeria in Florence, and I hope you can stop by and support them while visiting the beautiful city! They are located on Via della Cernaia, 9R, 50129 Firenze FI, Italia and their number is +39 055 495286.
